In response to shifting global economic demands and an increasing need for skilled talent, the New Taipei City Government, in collaboration with CrossBond and CBtalent, proudly hosted the Global Talents Job Fair 2024. This exclusive event was designed to provide foreign job seekers with a pathway to connect with Taiwan's fast-growing ICT and electronics sectors, further solidifying New Taipei City as a hub for international professional opportunities.

This event not only served as a platform for international students and professionals to find career opportunities but also provided valuable insights into Taiwan’s dynamic job market. By participating, attendees gained access to over 130 job vacancies, connecting with leading companies and learning directly from industry experts. This helped enhance their career prospects in Taiwan’s rapidly evolving economy. Moreover, the fair facilitated networking opportunities, allowing participants to build connections with companies that are eager to hire skilled professionals from around the world.

- Taiwan’s Job Fair Exclusively for Foreigners: Tailored specifically for foreign talent, this job fair focused on career opportunities for students and professionals from countries including India, Indonesia, the Philippines, Myanmar, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, and Taiwan.

- Network with 28+ ICT & Electronics Companies: Over 28 leading companies participated, granting attendees direct access to Taiwan’s vibrant tech and electronics sectors and offering insights into the country’s innovative workforce.

- More Than 130 Job Vacancies: Participants explored over 130 immediate job openings, suitable for a wide range of skills and backgrounds, providing a unique chance to secure a professional future in Taiwan.

- On-Site Interviews: For the first time, candidates could engage in on-the-spot interviews, a streamlined approach that provided instant feedback and promising employment opportunities.

Central Ministry Insights: Empowering Foreign Talent in Taiwan

As part of the fair, representatives from Taiwan’s central ministries shared valuable information on recruitment and professional integration, including:

- Recruitment and Employment of Foreign Professionals - Yuh-Shing Gau, Section Chief of the National Development Council, outlined pathways for foreign professionals to thrive in Taiwan.

- Explore Your Future in Taiwan - Dennis Chen, Recruitment Manager at Talent Taiwan, discussed the abundant opportunities available for skilled talent in Taiwan's evolving industries.

- Expanded Cultivation and Retention of Overseas Chinese Students - Jhih-Jhong Dong, Executive Officer of the Overseas Community Affairs Council (OCAC), highlighted Taiwan’s initiatives for nurturing and retaining international students.

- Points System (Scoring Criteria) for Foreign and Overseas Chinese Students to Work in Taiwan - Yu-Pei Ho, Associate Researcher at the Labor and Development Association, provided insights into the scoring criteria that help foreign and overseas Chinese students build successful careers in Taiwan.

- Implementation Overview of the Ministry of Education’s Industry - Grace Lo, Senior Manager at the Ministry of Education’s Industry-Academia Collaboration Platform, detailed the government’s initiatives for talent cultivation through partnerships with Taiwanese businesses.

More than 220 professionals from Indonesia, Vietnam, the Philippines, India, Malaysia, Myanmar, and Thailand joined, bringing diverse language skills, cultural insights, and global perspectives. These talents are instrumental for companies looking to expand into ASEAN and Indian markets, fostering innovation and cross-cultural collaboration.
